The fight for the office of the vp

Somewhere in the university of Uyo, popularly known as uniuyo,
there is a serious battle between some political candidates who are vying for the office of the vice president of the department of communication arts.

Some people gave their opinion that the office of the VP is strictly meant for females and this has really caused a serious hullabaloo in the the department because it has completely destabilize the male candidate who is also vying for that same office.

As a communicator or  an individual, what is your take on this?
